Cold Snap Essentials

Houston is just getting over a bout of incredibly stupid weather. I mean, ICE in Houston? Honestly people.

So these are the things that have made the nonsense a bit more bearable. If you are a southern wimp like I am, maybe you understand where I'm coming from.

1. Fuzzy Socks
I don't like to wear socks normally, but when it's cold I like wear fuzzy ones. And tell me these aren't the cutest socks you've ever seen!! These are bath and body works socks. I got them for christmas.

2. Hot tea
If you don't know already, I'm obsessed with tea. I drink at least a mug a day, sometimes 2 or 3. Sometimes I go crazy and drink more than that :O
Anyways, here's my favorite tea of the moment:

Sometimes I put this tea into my tervis tumbler so I can take it to keep me warm while I wait for the shuttle to take me from the parking lot to class. If I'm at home, I use a mug and my awesome electric mug warmer. If you don't have one and you drink mugs of tea, get one. Keeps it warm until you finish the whole cup.


3. My favorite hat
I basically snap up any chance I get to wear this hat and seem reasonable. I got this at forever 21 about 2 years ago, so you can't buy this exact one anymore but I bet they sell similar ones

4. Moisturizer
When I forgot my heavier face moisturizer when we went to north carolina, my skin got all weirdo. So now I never forget to put some on :)

3 Day Weekend

Well it's technically tuesday here now so I guess that means we're past the three day weekend.

3 day weekends are a bit odd to have when you just finish syllabus week. I have a bit of work to be doing, but not enough where I feel like I can really use a three day weekend to get caught back up or something like that.

Nonetheless I think I got a fair amount done. My room is much cleaner than it was before. I went through and dusted everything and organized my bookshelves. Everything is much nicer looking now than it was in its post finals state. It's also nice because now it's easier for me to see what cool stuff I have and know where to get it. Like bubbles! I'm gonna sit outside some day when I'm not busy and the weather is nice and just swing and blow bubbles.

I've started playing Final Fantasy 7 on my surface, but I'll write about that later. Playing a game from the late 90s is always fun in terms of graphics ;)
