The Cheddar Bay Incident

It was a cold and gloomy day.  Just kidding it's Houston it's hot as hell.

So it was a regularly hot day today where the sun tried to melt us into little puddles, no more so than usual. I decided that I needed to hit up Kroger to get a bit more food. So to make it more interesting, I decided to pick out a recipe to try.

Two things you should know:
1. I'm not the biggest fan of seafood
2. Red Lobster's Cheddar Bay biscuits are one of the greatest foods known to mankind.

So given those two facts, you can probably guess that I'm not super enthused about actually /going/ to Red Lobster, but I WANT THOSE BISCUITS.

So my Mom saved this recipe on Pinterest and I took a look at it. Seemed pretty easy so I thought I'd give it a go. The blog claims to be about "Easy and Simplified Asian/Malaysian Cooking for Amateurs" so I've got no clue what Red Lobster has to do with anything but hey.

I found Kroger brand buttermilk biscuit mix that was on clearance or something for ~60cents, so good deal! The world was telling me to make these biscuits.

A few changes were made in following the recipe:
- Less cheese. More like a cup
- Added a bit more milk cause I couldn't get all the flour into the sticky dough ball at first
- Garlic salt with parsley instead of oregano

But HELLO AWESOMENESS:

UHM I'm making these again. If not just for myself then for all the people on facebook that think they look om nom as well.

What will my OC life drive me to cook next?
