on being sick far from home

So this past week basically sucked. And not because of my job or the people I am around, rather because of myself.

STUPID BODY DON'T GET SICK.

So the short plan to having a miserable week Stripe-style is as follows:

1) Get mono. Probably at the airport, slimy place...
2) Incubate that bugger for a little while. It's like an alien growing inside you and you just don't know
3) Start to get sick. Alright stomach bug I can deal with that
4) STREP THROAT WHAT
5) Oh wait, it's resistant. Aka the drugs don't make it better! COOL. MORE DOCTORS.
6) Go to hospital overnight. .__.

The thing about being sick on the other side of the country from your family is that taking care of yourself because a monumental task. You also spend a lot of time on the phone which is very difficult when your throat is swollen almsot completely shut for a day or two...

Also lemme tell you a thing. Clindamycin is fantastic at what it does, but it it the nastiest tasting pill. That bright blue coating is deceiving I tell you.

So I took time off work without pay and I'm behind on basically everything but I am out of pathetic lump mode so small victories. Yep.

Alright Stripe out. Don't do what I did this week.
